Portfolio of Some of My Artwork (Portraits)

For the most part, my artwork takes the form of portraiture. (I reserve landscapes for my photography). There's something really fullfilling about looking at a photograph, or a paused video, of an individual, and reproducing it well enough on a canvas or other surface that someone else can recognize the subject. I've always felt that if you can copy a person's eyes into a portrait exactly as they appear in real life, you're going to be able to render a realistic image of that person.

I love that Walrus!! Your drawings are neat!!! I will probably pepper my posts with bits of my artwork here and there, but I don't have enough material (that I am very proud of) to start a blog like you did, just for your art. Looks great!

Hey,
I have enjoyed your comments on Camps site and thought I'd explore yours. Very talented artist and photographer! Before I became a mother of many, I did freelance art, design and writing.
I see that you were adopted. A year ago, my husband and I adopted twin boys. I use to be their Great Aunt... now I am honored to be their mommy. They were almost 3 when we brought them home... Those 1st 3 years were pure hell. THey were severely neglected and abused. It would make you ill if I shared with you what they had gone through...
It hasn't been easy, but the Lord has certainly given me a deep love for them... and has made them a part of my sanctification process.
Thank you again for your quite clever comments at the Camp... much wisdom in your words.
Lisa
